About Tyler Griffin

Tyler James Griffin is a 19-year-old freelance photographer/filmmaker located in the Los Angeles area. He currently is being trained by himself and other people on how to expand his craft’s versatility entirely by experimenting with elements present in his other artistic endeavors and adapting to new mediums of capturing life’s moments.

At age 16, his mother passed away from breast cancer after a long 11-year battle with the disease. Since, his personal goal as an artist is to help others in this world feel senses of comfort, joy & inspiration through his filmmaking— to make the viewer feel as if they’re present in the film, as if they’re experiencing the film themselves. The reason behind this being, his mother was too ill to venture and travel with him. When his passion had been ignited, he would share these first of many worldly memories with her. He now lives with the life goal to capture the way he sees the most wonderful essences of this world in order to help those who can’t experience it for themselves feel as if they’re immersed in his own artistic world.

Skillsets include: creative direction, digital editing, digital photography, film photography, digital videography, AD, BTS & DP work, music editing & summarization.

Photography & videography style skillset includes: indoor & outdoor events, parties, school events, street, editorial, wedding, portrait, fashion, architectural, landscape, documentary, product, travel, aerial, astrophotography, macro & commercial.

He currently is teamed with artist & director Rob Prior and filmmaker business-genius McClain Portis (founder of LiveTwoCreate). You can read more of this in the “video client work” section of the website.

His skillset currently showcases his editorial film-like style of photography & videography with the pictures and video he produces. He shoots on both digital (predominantly) and film mediums and edits video on Final Cut Pro X.

Before age 13, when he picked up his dad’s camera and started his first project which eventually snowballed into what we see now, he was a child actor since age 3; he still receives recognition for his work on Insidious, Chapter II.

His current projects include a European travel film series, an online merchandise store containing hand-drawn products, a magazine directed & produced by himself, a few documentaries, and much client work & future collaborations.

Other works of his include his original album “I Miss You My Love!” alongside other musical performances and releases. He hasn’t worked on any musical projects since, but does plan on expanding that section of his artistry once again in due time.
